Scotch® rubber splicing tape 23 is a highly conformable, self-fusing Ethylene Propylene rubber (EPR), high-insulating voltage tape. Scotch® 23 has a "snakeskin" liner that is easily removed as the tape is applied. Scotch® electrical tape 23 is a highly conformable, self-fusing Ethylene Propylene rubber based high-insulating voltage tape. It is without halogen, it resists in the UV and ozone and is not vulcanized. It is compatible with all the synthetic insulations cables and with the paper insulations cables with migrant material. The turns of the tape weld together in an homogeneous form after application.

- Item Features
- Standards
For splicing cable from 600 V through 69000 V on all solid dielectric cables, building stress cones on cables up to 35000 V on all solid dielectric cables, jacketing on high voltage splices and terminations, moisture sealing electrical connections, bus bar insulations and end sealing high voltage cables
- Rubber resin provides excellent adherence to irregular surfaces
- Primary electrical insulation for splicing cable from 600 VAC to 69 kV on all solid dielectric cables
- Special polyester liner
- Can be used to splice and terminate cables whose emergency overload temperatures can reach 266 deg F
- Physical and electrical properties are unaffected by the degree of stretch
- Self-fusing tape
- Excellent electrical properties
- A special polyester liner which will not stick to the tape upon unwind
- Compatible with all solid dielectric cable insulation: polyethylene (high and low density), cross linked polyethylene (XLP), polyvinyl chloride (pace), butyl rubber, ethylene propylene rubber (pace), oil based rubber
