3M™ PELTOR™ Wireless Series 100 Communications Headset with Bluetooth® wireless technology helps protect workers from hazardous workplace sounds while making it easy to communicate, listen to music, or talk on the phone. Unique level-dependent technology helps improve awareness by boosting lower level sounds like voices, while limiting louder, potentially hazardous sounds. These innovative headsets have an output limit of 82 dBA to help reduce exposure to loud sounds and enhance worker safety by making it easier to hear conversation, warning signals and approaching vehicles. This hearing protection system is ideal for anyone who enjoys listening to music in high-quality stereo sound and needs the ability to communicate via a wireless Bluetooth® phone while in noisy environments. Bluetooth® connection controls on the left side of the headset make it easy to accept or reject phone calls. Music is automatically reduced during phone conversations and resumes when a call is completed. In addition to connecting via Bluetooth wireless equipment, the included cable can be used to connect devices such as MP3 players or 2-way radios. In this case, the Bluetooth® button is used as a Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. This headset is designed for use in high noise environments such as construction, manufacturing, racing, transportation, and workshops. This hearing protection headset has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 20 dB and weighs only 12.4 ounces for all-day wearing comfort. Two sound input control settings allow users to select either a fixed setting in which the Bluetooth® sound signal is limited to a maximum or 82 dB, or a setting that allows louder playback but limits the total daily dose to 82 dB during an 8-hour period. Built-in speech microphone uses DSP algorithms to electronically filter out background noise and help improve communications for enhanced conversation. Headset runs on two AAA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.
