TECHNIKS machinable blanks provide a quality platform for creating your own custom tools. They are made from high grade tool steel for best performance. Material analysis shows that the hardness at the spindle end is HRc 58 deg for long life and reduced spindle wear. The hardness on the machining end is HRc 25 to 28 deg and remains stable from the surface all the way to the core.
