Our 3M™ paper sheet 130N is a general purpose open coat garnet abrasive sanding paper constructed on a tough, C-weight backing. The durable backing makes this sheet an ideal product for coarse hand sanding in earlier stages of woodworking operations. In grades of 100, 120 and 150, our 3M™ paper sheet 130N features a more rugged paper backing and the cutting power of garnet mineral. The C-weight backing is one of the heavier backings among paper backed sheets. It's tough, durable and withstands courser sanding. These standard 9 x 11 in sheets are easily resized for a multitude of tasks or folded to reach critical surfaces, corners and recesses. Abrasives cut better and last longer when dust isn't clogging the cutting surface of the abrasives. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are less densely spaced on the backing, allowing sawdust to be evacuated keeping cutting mineral free. This allows the sheet to continue cutting even when sanding soft woods and materials that would, otherwise, clog the grain and hinder sanding ability. The C-weight backing makes this sheet good for use, with or without a felt or wood hand block, for overall touchup or cleanup removing glue spots, pencil marks, dirt or rough texture left by previous operations.
