Non-woven surface finishing flap wheels are an ideal choice for a wide variety of blending and finishing applications common in the metal fabrication, welding and polishing industries. Designed to deliver a consistent finish with a uniform rate of cut, flap wheels wear away continually exposing fresh abrasives. There are two types of non-woven flap wheels, non-woven only abrasive flaps where finishing is the primary application interleaf with alternating cloth and non-woven abrasive flaps (less conformable, more aggressive) for stock removal and finishing. Interleaf flap wheels must always be run in the direction indicated by the arrow. Use this Bear-Tex® AO non-woven flap wheel for fine grit blending and cleaning applications. Constructed with a durable resin bond and web, this wheel wears away evenly to continuously expose fresh premium aluminum oxide grain abrasives for consistent grinding. The wheel is tough enough to stand up to demanding use yet conformable enough to work on intricate pieces without changing the workpiece's dimensions. An arbor hole design makes the wheel easy to mount on larger portable and fixed base tools where the wheel must fit an existing arbor.
