Our standard Abrasives™ silicon carbide 700 Series unitized wheel has a medium to hard density with increased edge durability, making it a good match for tough finishing applications. This non-woven abrasive wheel provides the durability needed for achieving a fine finish even on hard metals such as titanium. Our standard Abrasives™ silicon carbide (S/C) 700 Series unitized wheel has a medium to hard density compared to other wheels in our standard Abrasives™ unitized wheels line. As a double duty abrasive with combined durability and fine cutting action, our S/C 700 Series unitized wheel is a great choice when you need to produce both an aggressive cut and fine finish. Use it to finish edges and internal angles when working with titanium or composites as well as stainless steel and steel alloys. Unitized wheels are typically used on die grinders. A benefit of unitized wheels is that they are bi-directional and can be mounted on a tool or pedestal grinder without regard to the direction of the spindle rotation. This means the Standard Abrasives™ unitized wheel can be used with a variety of tools, and regardless of which way the workpiece is fed through the machine, the wheel will be able to respond, giving operators more flexibility. The stiffness of the unitized construction enables operators to use thinner wheels to access awkward angles with grinding tools. Series 700 wheels comes in a range of diameters from 1 to 6 in and require a unitized wheel mandrel for attachment to the tool. Quick-change wheels are also available.
