Scotch-Brite™ high gloss roll is a soft, springy, non-woven roll stock constructed as a 1 in THK, airy pile pad that offers a high degree conformability for final step high gloss finishing. This pliable, open web material is an ideal medium for use with compounds to help generate a uniform finish. Suitable for hand use or on oscillating and dual pad rubbing machines. Evenly distributes polishes and compounds. The deep pile of the open web fibers hold polishes and compounds and distribute them evenly as the surface is being worked. A small amount (3 to 10%) of talc is incorporated into the non-woven fibers of our Scotch-Brite™ high gloss roll to enhance its polishing capability. As the fibers wear, fresh talc is exposed to provide a consistent finish throughout the life of the product. In woodworking, this material can be used with polish to create a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing applications. The versatile roll can be custom cut and used by hand for precise control, with a hand block for uniform finishing or on an in-line sander to finish large areas.
